Experienced hatchers -we need your brains!

First time to incubate and just got a Miller 9200 still air with egg turner. My directions tell me 99.5° at the top of the eggs. The incubator ranges between 99.2° and 99.8 depending on the room temperature which I can't control because our only source of heat is our wood stove and our cabin is only 400 sq. feet. I keep water in the bottom slots with one of the humidity plugs on top off as directed. Will I get a hatch at these temperatures or should I turn it up?

Oh, these are out of the turner.. I took them out on Sunday.. I just wondered if switching them from rotating in an upright position vs now being laid flat could've affected the eggs... My friend is hatching as well, and shes having similar problems. Her temp was 99.5 and humidity has been the same as mine. Think its the same issue? Temp too low?

You guys were wonderful! I turned the incubator up to 102. Within a few hours, I had pipping chicks. I think the last of the batch hatched out today, so I ended up with 4 polish and 1 porcelain duccle.. Overall, extremely disappointing, but after talking with ya'll, I order a incubator fan that Ill be using for the next hatch. Here's to hoping I have much better success!

My husband picked up an old Sears and Roebuck incubator, its stainless steel and we're giving that a shot now...we'll see... I put about 40 eggs in there today... *Crossing fingers*!

If you want to give my eggs a second try with a higher temp, you can just pay for shipping cost. Let me know if you want me to send you a paypal invoice. I want you to get more chicks! The d'uccles seem to do better with the higher temps 101 too.
