Thought I would see how my young Lavender Orpingtons Pullets (2months +)would get along with six month old pullets. I was worried that they were too small to be mixed in yet. They are still on chick food so I planned to put them back in their own coop anyway. Those big bad orps would not bother these chicks at all! They are probably triple their size. Those Lav babies were the ones doing the chasing and pecking! I had to laugh at how funny this looked. They had my big girls on the run. Long story short I scooped them up and took them back nto their barn coop. Introduction was a comedy. I was afraid that it would not be good for those babys. I will try this again as soon as they are old enough to eat layer feed.
