experiment with tomato plants

I sprouted way too many tomato plants this year, I planted some in 2 different garden spots, and I put 6 in 5 gallon pails. The container plants started looking bad, so I took 3 out of the pails, and planted them in the garden, the other 3 I left alone to see how they would compare to the others. Here's the results. The tomato's in the top of the pic were from the garden plants, the bottom ones's from the container. Quite a difference. Not much fruit on the container plants but lots of maters on the gar

den plantings.

WOW!

I never would have guesed that the tomatoes themselves would have been smaller, becaue they plants were in pots.

I am floored.
