I recently discovered that I can't have chickens where i live unless i am on an acre of property. I don't have that much and I live very exposed to neighbors.

So after spending much time developing a large walk in coop and run, I'm going stealthy!!!!

I have designed this little coop for about 3 chickens. (I will get my fresh eggs gosh darnit!!!)

Would you please let me know what you think of the design and any suggestions to make improvements.

Thanks!!!

Looks like a nice design for 3 birds. What part of the country are you in? You need to plan for plenty of ventilation in a small coop. Will you pit it on wheels so you can move it around like a tractor coop?

if you are going undercover, can your neighbors see into your yard, will it be out in the open, your hens might be heard, some breeds can make as much noise as a rooster

I love the design

Well, you might make the roof all one unit instead of two parts... but, generally looks reasonable as a minimal-size compact coop for just 3 hens.

HOWEVER you gotta realize your neighbors are GOING TO KNOW you have chickens, by the sounds they make. Even if they are not "violating noise ordinance" type chickens, they WILL bawk and ba-gawk and so forth, and your neighbors WILL deduce that them's chickens making those noises.

Just saying,

Pat

one way to think of to hiding them in the open is get silkies, especially the partridge color, from a distance they can be mistaken for bunnies or small odd colored dog, you know a Chinese bi color chinchick

The two things I hear people who don't like chickens complaining about, is the smell and the noise. You can plant a screen of plants around the coop to hide it from view but you need to be meticulous about your maintenance to keep flies and manure odor at bay! I wish you luck finding a quiet breed. I can tell you none of mine are! They're as loud as the neighbor's rooster.

I like your coop. I would put a branch or a dowel up in that high empty space (on the diagonal) to give your chickens a place to roost and look around. They love doing that. I would also extend the overhang of the roof a little farther. The idea of making the roof one unit is a good one too.

I would turn the nest boxes 90 degrees to the right (or what might be to the back) and make them accessable from the outside. You could also move them toward the outside, giving more square footage inside. Also put a small window in the door to allow you to see in without opening the door thereby allowing mass escape by the inmates.
Tell 'em it's a tool shed with compost area below, and yes in fact you do have that very rare breed of African Parrot
