My students and I had a failed hatch in a 7-egg incubator at school. We ended up with only 2 chicks. Yesterday one of the two chicks was killed in an accident. :( So we are left with one chick. I keep chix at home as well, and I have some chicks close in age to our lonely school chick. So here's my question: should I provide the chick with only one of my chicks, or should I donate two? Part of me wants to keep two of my chicks together so they're not stressed by the move, but the other part says that if the two come in already bonded, they might pick on the one other chick. Suggestions? Thanks!
