Hi DK, don't worry, you aren't being mean. I hope she wouldn't get into rat poison also, but I am/was getting desperate and willing to entertain all possibilities. The black stool thing is scary. My sister who is a human doctor instantly said "Internal bleeding"!!

Let's hope it is something else.​

She has never been wormed but I was hoping that I could wait until they all moulted before I wormed them. I just called the feed store and they do have ivermectin, so I guess I'm headed up there today.

I was going to bring her inside this morning, but she was fighting so feistily for left over spaghetti with the other birds I'd figured I'd leave her out for the morning and bring her in during the afternoon when I'd be home so I could watch her..

Thanks everyone for advice and concern about Midnight. She is doing much better. I kept her in yesterday and today until she complained so much I had to let her out. The electrolytes I gave her contained Vit. K. (couldn't hurt) and her stools now are almost normal. She is eating like she has never seen food before and I am trying to make sure she gets more than her fair share of pellet mash and yogurt. This evening she ran around like the rest of them, hunting, pecking and squabbling.

I couldn't find the right formula of Ivermectin at the tack shop, so I'm ordering some on line. Hopefully, if worms are still a problem, that will kick it.

She does seem out of the woods for a bit though.
