expressions or tems that you should not say:

"Pretty much", (I used to be guilty of that)

and: "I should have went" no, you "should have gone".

LIBERRY instead of Library. There is an A in it so pronounce it correctly......

Ideal is one that irks me as well "I have an Ideal." NO you have an Idea of what is going on not an Ideal of what is going on.

"you guys"

i hate, loathe and despise being referred to as "you guys" as in, "what can i get you guys today?" or "what do you guys feel like doing?"

grrrrrrrrrr! for some reason, it just makes me nuts!

i did that to my wife once. she laid something out and asked me to "unthaw" it. i knew she meant for me to put it in the microwave but i stuck it back in the freezer. she failed to see the humor just like when i set the clocks forward and told her i hadn't done it yet.

a couple other ones i thought of are " it costed me ", the use of past tense such as "the dog needs brushed", "the car needs washed", and the use of a plural for a singular item. around here people refer to their drivers license as "them" . "may i see your license ?" "yes. i have them right here."

someone i knew used to say

"alls i was doin' was..."

alls?
all's?

huh?

"regift" and "repurpose," which I saw in three magazines in one day. I'm not offended but I do shake my head. I recycle instead of "repurposing." And I don't "regift," except to the Goodwill or Salvation Army. Something I "rewonder" what the heck is going on with the English language, though.
