external hernia?

So my chick, now 24h old, hatched under a hen. Unabsorbed yolk sac I believe, which ruptured and am intensively caring for it indoors now. I suspect that a small portion of the intestines have herniated through said yolk sac/'umbillical scab'.
Is this possible for abdominal contents to poke through via ruptured yolk sac - like a hernia and what are its chances really?
