hello I’m super excited and nervous I saw my one egg did external pip and I hear him in there ahh!! I started the eggs at 7 pm day one so I wasn’t going to start lockdown until tonight - I turned them all just now day 25 and noticed the one pip so quick turned him back around so it’s pip was facing up. Should I start lockdown now increasing humidity ???? Thank you !!

Yes, you can stop turning now. Remember that duck eggs take a little bit longer to hatch so dont worry if not much more happens for a while. Raise your humidity to about 60-65%. Good luck with your hatch!

Ok thank you !! I made sure the pip one is up right down down ? I just added the water to other chamber - I can’t track humidity it’s a mini brinsea advance you just add water to the other chamber for lockdown. Thanks for help !!

I started lockdown earlier like you said and another one pipped but is positioned downward is that okay or should I open it and turn it around so the crack is facing upward or does it not matter as long as it’s through the air sac bigger side of egg?
Thanks

Fine to just leave the egg the way it is. It should hatch just fine with the pip hole facing downward. Best not to open the incubator and let all that good humid air out.

Ok thanks I figured that and left it be - he actually made another big peck so he seems to be doing good
Thanks
