i have one of those black light bug zappers. in the past i would notice a good amount, literally 100's of crispy critters on the ground after a night with the bug zapper on. if i was to mount the bug zapper up above the chicken run and leave it on at night, i would imagine there would not be any harm with the chickens eating some electrifried bugs for breakfast when let out of the coop.....?

Thats an awesome idea!!!! I may try that my self..

I don't see why there would be a problem... its not like you are using poison... just a little electricity. They might enjoy the crispy treat. (Just my opinion.)

Would you like fries with that? Do you want to super-size it? HA!

Better be careful what you get these gourmet chickens hooked on....regular old bugs might not be good enough for them in the future!!!!

I know what I'm talking about....my daughter at 8 years old was allowed to order lobster at a restaurant on a special occasion. There was a duel to the death every time we went to a seafood restaurant after that because she wanted lobster and I told her she could have shrimp. Oooooooohhhh.

I moved mine out to the chicken pen. They love the cooked treats!!! And it draws the bugs from the porch out into the pen, so it's a double bonus! LOL

God Bless!
