My 27 weeks old Blue Orpington, Bonnie, laid her first egg today!

Do you see how long it can take for a big girl to get the plumbing going to send the first egg down the pipe from the egg factory?

Don't rush your girls. 18 - 20 weeks is an average for high production layers.

Do you know what I'll be collecting next month for my incubator?

So glad she is laying for you. I have two white orps that are 11 weeks old now. I am waiting very patiently for them to start laying in about two months.
