Extra good layer?

Hello all. I have 5 hens that are laying now. I also have several pullets that I don't believe are old enough to be laying yet. A few times during this past week, we had 6 eggs in the coop when I go home from work. Is it possible for chickens to lay more than one egg a day? Or, do you think I have a someone else laying at this time? My younger chicks are 6 EE's, 3 BR. 3 hamburgs. We got them as new chicks in June.

It's possible you have an early layer but I'd suspect that one laid early and then late.
