Even though redsoxs is right, here's what I do, thought it would be helpful. So, my chickens had stopped laying, so I bought a 50lb bag of organic scratch, along with my usual 50lb bag of layer pellets. I started mixing 3 cups of scratch in with their usual 10 pounds of feed, right then, my birds kicked up production again. I've been doing this for 3 months and the egg basket has been overflowing ever since.
