I have posted about our Pekin duck being notoriously aggresive for a while now, but I think he's getting worse. When released from his coop he will bite you in the leg, pulling on your pants. Its almost like he wants you to run away, and when we do (to see what he does) he chases you as fast as he can. When he sees your fingers are at a level that he can reach with his beack, he comes as fast as he cant to type them. In the past 24 hours he has preserved his water almost intact however very muddy. It concerns me that he is drinking very little and yet he is perfectly fine. He quacks, chases and bites at a regular rate. I think the reason he is drinking so little has to do with his growing aggresiveness. Does anyone know what could be causing this behaviour?

This sounds exactly like when I’ve tried to put my boys together and they are trying to figure out who’s top drake. He’s challenging you and running away only makes him think he’s won and that he’s on top not you. I hear in a duck fight the losing duck gets pinned and then turns and runs or sometimes they just decide they give up and run. Next time he comes at you trying to bite you and such pin him to the ground, don’t be too rough you are bigger but enough to hold him down until he stops squirming wait a few seconds more and let him go.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Thank you everyone! Thats a good idea, I will make sure to assert dominance. He is also etremely aggresive with our Muscovy duckling (female), who is around 3-5 months old. She is our first female duck, and our Pekin attacks her a lot, trying to pin her head and trying to get on top of her. Could this be a suppresed desire to mate?
