Hi, one of my hens has been acting extremely lethargic the whole day. This has happened before twice, but only for a 1-3 hours- she would pass the egg and then be fine for the rest of the day. She spent most of the day hiding in the shade with her eyes closed not moving, and also a couple of hours sitting in the nesting box. She has no appetite at all, not even for treats and only drinks water, plus she has very runny poop. I don't think she's egg-bound, because she mostly crouches, not with her vent pointing down and also, she and my other leghorn lay on the same days around the same time and my other hen didn't lay today. I'm super worried about her, any help is appreciated :(

also, her comb is extremely droopy and a couple times she regurgitated water. she also appears to be drinking out of thin air

Did she spit up water when you picked her up or just on her own?
Is she pooping at all?

I'd get some Calcium Citrate into her. 1 tablet.
Feel for an egg.
Sounds like she may be having problems with as soft shelled egg. The crop/digestive system can slow down if there's other issues going on.

Thank you so much, she was spitting on her own and her only poop is extremely runny (maybe it's because she's drinking so much water). I felt for an egg and compared to another hen and I think I feel something.

She slept through the night, but in the morning she's still tired and won't eat. There's no egg either, but maybe I felt wrong and there was no egg in the first place?
