I purchased two geese Goosey Lucey and Gibby a toulouse and sebestopol. Sadly they have been honking and our neighbours are getting fed up with it. We have no other option other than to give them away. We are giving them away to a family owned business called herritage hatching and hens search it it if you would like. Its a family owned business and they wont eat them. Its quite depressing because you grow quite fond of the little critters. I hope they will live long happy lives free ranging and doing what geese love to do :'( miss them heaps xx

Yea. :( on sunday we are taking them down. I don't know if every goose honks or if it was because we purchased them as adults. Thankyou.

Sorry to hear that it came to this. I was really hoping things would get better.

i'm so sorry! My geese honk a lot, too. Personally, i don't care if it bothers the neighbors. Most everyone has dogs that bark. Couple neighbors have motorcycles they rev up on Sunday morning. So my geese are not the loudest things in the neighborhood. Are you zoned to have geese?

No. We live on acerage but our house is right up along the back fence and so was their coop. We had never had geese before and did't even knew they made a noice, we thought they made a bawk like a chick :D LOL.

Nope, no quiet noises from geese. Well, actually, my geese sometimes make a low ooooohing sound, when they are very curious about something. But man oh man, can they be super loud when they get going! In fact, my husband is having a very hard time lately with middle of the night honk feasts. Trying everything to block out light to the shed, but that doesn't seem to help. i'm sure if my husband knew how loud they could be he would not have been so amenable to me getting them.

Anyhow, i hope your geese will be happy in their new home and you will get to visit them whenever you want.
