Extremely Sick Hen! Click On This First!

A quarter of a pill of Amoxicillin worked in the past for a hen with a bad infection. She was better in 3 days or so.

I don't think it is something antibiotics could help. This seems more serious than a infection.

She is maybe a 2-pound hen. She has lost a lot of weight during the last couple of weeks.
Post number one says she is a mature hen, and a mature hen should weigh ~4-6 pounds. If she is only 2 pounds, this suggests that the illness has progressed. Unfortunately, the prognosis is poor once a hen has lost this much weight.

Is a vet an option?

Amoxicillin is supposed to be given at 125 mg/kg twice a day.

Can you help me too. My hen has an enlarged abdomen and a crop that is big. She is 3 years old, and when I hold her, she throws up deep brown liquid that stinks like crazy. She is quite larthargic, but still eats and drinks a little. Please help me!

I don't know if she is going to make the night.
Are any of y'all going through the same thing or something similar?
Yes, many of us have gone through this type of thing. Three years is old for a high production breed/hybrid. Unfortunately high production breeds tend to have early reproductive issues and organ failure because they lay so many eggs. Could be internal laying, egg yolk peritonitis, ascites, or something else. Try the antibiotics in the correct dosage. There is a good chance she will not survive and if she does it's likely to occur again.
