Eye goo

My girl has some whitish goo coming from her eye. I rinsed with saline and put on ointment. Any other advice?

It could be a respiratory infection, but pecks can sometimes cause this. The white material is probably pus, and should be removed before giving eye ointment (such as Terramycin eye ointment or Vetericyn eye gel. twice a day.)
