I'm so glad he's doing better! You caught it early and treated it so that's 99.9% of it.
Hopefully he'll be good as new by the end of the week

The only reason I have so many ointments and meds already here is because we are rural and it always figures that stuff happens either late Friday afternoon or on the doggone weekends!
An emergency vet is over an hour away!
I was a vet tech for 20 yrs, specializing in equines. Worked with a husband/wife veterinary team and when a horse fell on me and demolished my knee I went the last 6 yrs they owned the clinic into the small animal part with his wife, and then stayed a year and a half with the new vet that bought their practice before I "retired" to stay home and home school our children.
Because of this, I can handle a lot of things with the horses, dogs and cats myself and am very confident.
The chickens...not so much! I learn MANY things on BYC daily and read like a fiend for hours nightly to pick up what I can so I can feel just as at home with the birds.
