Eye Infection? Respitory? With My chickens AND Ducks need help please

You sound like me! I want variety in my yard!!! We live in a small community too and they all have the same 'ol breeds you can find anywhere. When you do go to the farmers markets and find something like a English Game Hen people go NUTS! When I culled out my flock and got rid of my birds that were nuts and making the flock all crazy and flighty I took probably 15 a little at a time to sell there, and I was amazed at how terrible shape everyones birds were!!! I mean we are in the country but COME ON!!!! We got top dollar for our birds, double what everyone else was getting. People who wernt buying stopped just to see what a bird was supposed to look like and compliment us! They jumped our truck before we even got pulled in! I sold my Pekin and 3 mallards before I even got parked..he was huge and I was told they dont normally get that tall or big. He wasnt fat either, but just a healthy large bird, must be good stock. Beats me, I just take good care of them as far as I'm concerned! I bought the only birds there that were taken good care of because they were birds I couldnt find around here. Hence my want to get birds you cant find, and then sell them around town.
I'd love some turkeys to re-sell as well...they sell good here. If you can wait until you can get your birds to dress out you can get your money back and more if you take good care of them. Not a money maker but it pays for your food once you have your set up complete, which I'm almost at. I need to build a brooder. My makeshift one, and baby-pen from when I got my birds in the spring just wont work for me over the winter and I want birds again NOW! LOL I miss those little fuzzy butts running around!!!!

I wanted to take them all with me so they cud have a better home! I know sumtimes they have to b n cages but I can not do it! I cant leave chickens n cages all the time! But thats my problem, I want to save everything!! LOL!! But if i want to save my marriage, Ill have to keep it under control!! LMAO!!!

What kind of chickens do u have now? I have Amercaunas,Polish, Cochin, Phoenix, Salmon Faverolle, Silkies, Mille Fluer, Silver Spangled hamburg, bantam cochins, marons, OE, & I have sum gamebirds, not really sure though I got them n a surprise package from the hatchery. But yes it does sound Im just like u!!

Cause I cant go through the winter without chicks!! I have a shed, that was setup for breeding of little dogs ( the people that we bought our house from was doing that) I turned them n2 brooders! Its very nice ac n the summer, heat n the winter, So I can have all the chicks i want through the winter!!! Now I just need to quit spending all my money on the eggs, and get a nice incubator!!!! LOL!!! I think my hatch rates will b alot better! I have a styrofoam bator, not very efficiant.
