Eye infection

Sometimes antibiotics will help with symptoms.
Some things never go away and the birds remain carriers for life.
BIOSECURITY is a must to prevent bringing in disease to a flock because once you get it...it's not good.
keeping chickens healthy seems incredibly difficult. my flock is having health problems and i dont know what i'm doing wrong...

She looks like she may have a sinus infection, which could be caused by mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG.) That is a chonic respiratory disease that could infect any other chickens that you have. They are carriers for life and MG can come back again during periods of stress. You could try get her tested, to get a diagnosis. In flocks where a chicken is already a flock member, some will use the antibiotic Tylan 50 injectable, and give it orally 0.3 ml per pound twice a day for up to 5 days to treat symptoms. Does she have any nasal drainage, cough or sneeze, or other symptoms? The Vetropolycin is similar to Neosporin, so it would be okay to keep using. Terramycin eye ointment is also good. Here is some reading about MG:

O boy...Looks like you bought a sick bird.
Are you familiar with chicken illnesses and diseases?
Can you return her?
You could try antibiotics.
I really doubt I can, I got her from someone on a Facebook group I originally had 3 chickens all very healthy and have had no health issues at all and I raised them from only a few days old.. I am unfamiliar with chicken diseases and illnesses aside from what I've seen on Google.

Check out the link above about MG.

Has she been introduced to you flock?
Could she have possible been pecked in the eye?
Yes I introduced her yesterday evening not really concerned about it he said she was molting so I kind if just attributed it to that but curiosity got me and I got on Google and now I'm concerned.

:( Hopefully it isn't MG.
No way to know for sure unless you have some testing done.
What state are you in?
