Eye infection?

So, I think my chick has an eye infection. Little Yoshi’s eyes will get stuck shut and when I wipe them with a damp paper towel white goo comes out. They look clear for a while after that then they get closed shut again. It leaves the little fuzz but completely blind and unable to eat and drink when it happens, besides the eye thing Yoshi seems healthy and full of spunk. I’m going to speak with our local vet later today but is there anything I should be doing before then. Here’s a pic of what the eyes look like when not closed shut.

Try polyvisol vitamains without iron for a few days, see if that doesn't clear it up.

Also check those lower lid feathers, I had a boy that would never clear until I finally clipped the lower lid feathers. They were curling back and touching his eye ball creating an irritation.
