Thanks for the help, I really was freaking for a while. These are our first chickens, we've had ducks for years, The only trouble we have with them is predators, they are pretty much disease free and easy to care for but they are not as affectionate and fun as the chickens!As long as she can breathe, just wait for it to loosen. So glad to hear she wants to paraty in the dirt!
Remember: fowl pox is caused by a virus [not treatable-have to let it run its course] but one can get secondary infections that are bacteria [in your case its in the eyes] that IS treatable.....![]()
Both chickens are on antibiotics for the secondary stuff, hoping Fred doesn't get it too, but I don't know how he can avoid it, those two are best buds (i say he, even though he is a she). Been calling Fred a he since he was little, even though we knew SHE was a pullet when we bought her. Our nephew named HIM so it stuck!
