So one of my buff sussex hens seems to have developed an eye injury.
Last week i noticed her eye was closed, so i washed it out with water and it turned out there was a small stem stuck in her eyelid.
However i also noticed her internal eyelid 'skin' was also loose but i didn't really pay attention to it and thought it would heal itself.
I didn't really want to touch it in case it is part of the eyelid as it seems to be attached.

Today i have noticed her eye is swollen, however no pus or sign of infection ?
I have again washed with water and have noticed the internal eyelid is still loose and seems to be like a small piece of skin on the left side of her eyelid towards the beak (See pics)
What course of action is recommended ?

Where are you located? I would get some saline eye wash, or make some sterile saline, and flush the eye 3-4 times a day. Then apply an antibiotic eye drop or Terramycin or Neosporin eye ointment after each time. In a couple of days if it is better, you can reduce treatment to 2 times a day. The best scenario would be for a vet to treat this, and keep any pus or gunk from building up. She may well be blind, but it is good to treat any infection.
