What is wrong with my RIR' s eyeball? It rarely closes its eye unless I am near it.

I think it may possibly be eye worm.

Here is an article on eye worm symptoms and treatment. I'm not saying that tis is absolutely what the problem is, but it's a start. Going to the vet is your best option!!! Best wishes and good luck!

That looks to me like a cyst or growth on his conjunctiva. You could use some Terramycin eye ointment or Vetericyn eye gel from a feed store twice a day. Has his comb been pecked or does he have spots from possible pox?

No spots from possible pox. Sort of looks like flesh from around its eye that has been torn, like the 3rd eyelid or something. What would be best to do if that is the case?
