Eye poke or illness?

Howdy! Not sure if my guy has been poked/pecked in the eye by the other 2 fellas or if he's got an illness setting in. He keeps his eye closed and when we caught him, it was a bit gooey with yellow, stringy-ish gunk but was cleaned up easily with a warm cloth. He still roams with the guys and flies up into the tree to roost and is definitely still interested in snack time. No other real symptoms that I've seen, though he will lay down just a bit every now and then to look more out of his good eye while they're out scratching close by. Any thoughts or advice are welcome in figuring this out. My vet for my dogs said it's a no-go on peacocks but if it's major, he'd call a friend at the zoo. I'm no pro and learning as I go. I've had my 3 fellas for over a year, along with 4 chicken hens; no health issues so far and they do get wormed. TIA!!

He looks pretty sick in the last picture. I'd ask the vet for a referral.
This picture was early on in the morning when they all fly down from our big oak tree and all just hang out on the deck railing until I go out to see them, the spoiled brats. 😁 I figured something might be up if he's not perched with the other two.

Let us know any changes in him, his stool off anything. Sick birds can go downhill fast. If he just wakes up slow and looks groggy and sick in the morning don't we all before we have some coffee or wake up morning routines.
I sure will! I had no issue catching him this evening to look at his eye again, but he seemed to have it opened more than yesterday. I'll get the electrolytes out early for him tomorrow and ring the vet.

I had a bout with pseudomonas about five years ago, we gave the birds 0.60ml of zactran every three or four days. I forget if it was gram-negative or gram-positive but I do know that Tylan and Baytril would not touch it. Ask your vet for preloaded syringes of zactran, 0.60ml and give the shots SQ meaning just under the skin and not in the meat.
