Eye swelling

So I have a young hen, about 1 year old. About 2 weeks ago she had some swelling at the front of her eye, maybe where the tear duct is? I watched it for a couple of days and nothing happened, so I started terramycin ointment once a day. After a couple of days there was no change, so I added oral Tylan 50. Half a cc once a day for 5 days, plus terramycin ointment daily. Still absolutely zero change. What do you think this is? She has no discharge, no wheezing, no coughing, no change in behavior or eating. None of my other hens are showing any symptoms.

You aren't using enough Tylan often enough to make a difference.

I am not even sure this is something that Tylan would help.
It doesn't quite look like pus.

It looks like a mucous cyst of the eyelid. It could be lanced with a sterilized needle. It may come back later, but it could be lanced again at that point.

Apocrine hidrocystoma is the medical name, and they are benign cysts. Humans get them as well. They are sterile, so no antibiotics or ointments would be needed.
