Pheasent looked around for any other of the hens, but Cave seemed occupied talking to Cloud, who looked worried. Shrugging her wings, she trotted over to Duke.

"He should be home!" She whispered sadly, what if a fox had gotten him or a raccoon. "We have to search, search all places." She looked around her desperately, catching eyes with Duke.

Duke stopped clucking because the grubs scurried away. He payed attention to Pheasant now and said, "It looks like it. I wonder what they're fighting about."
