Pheasant shook her head. After all these years would Blaze really do something like that? The hurt coming from the hen that was sheltering her chicks in fear was strong, and hard. Poor Cloud, Pheasant thought.

As they fought, Blaze gave him serious injuries and ripped off part of his wattle. Just because he tried to protect his flock mate. We had no choice. We cannot release him to continue to terrorize the flocks.”
