"Oh, nice! What flock are you from or are you a loner?" She asked."Luna."
Splash clucked to her baby underneath her. The baby kept on moving and she was pretty sure it was still pipping."Sage, can you see if the egg is hatching?", Coal asked.
"Okay. Coal, do you think you could get some damp moss?" She asked him. She then looked at Sage. "Sage, do you think you could stay in here? I know absolutely nothing about hatching." She asked Sage. Her egg moved under her stomach again and she clucked.Sage peered at the egg. “It’s a good pip. It’s at the right end, too. I’d recommend having some slightly damp moss in your nest, Splash. As uncomfortable as it may be for you, it prevents the egg from basically drying out and preventing the chick from hatching.

“That’s fine. I only had two chicks in my brood this year, and they were early in the season, too. I need to see something hatch.” She chuckled."Okay. Coal, do you think you could get some damp moss?" She asked him. She then looked at Sage. "Sage, do you think you could stay in here? I know absolutely nothing about hatching." She asked Sage. "Thanks." She said and then clucked to her egg again.“That’s fine. I only had two chicks in my brood this year, and they were early in the season, too. I need to see something hatch.” She chuckled.
