Eerie smacked her with a wing and continued to clean and bandage the wound. Raven whispered kind things to Jay as she worked, sheltering the chicks under a wing.

Jay hardly felt the smack, she was more intent on listening to Raven. "I love you," She whispered. This surprised Jay. She has never trusted anyone like she has with Raven.

And that was the last thing Jay saw when she fell into unconscious. She saw love there in his brownish yellow eyes, she saw something her mother never showed her. And she saw her own reflection, showing the same love.
