eyes seem to glued shut.

I have 2 hens with their eyes closed. One has both eyes closed and the other one has one eye closed. I took the one with both eyes closed and pulled them gently open. can any one give me some idea of what they think this is.....Brian

Any other symptoms besides their goopy eyes? Do they have any discharge from the nostrils? Can you listen to their breathing? Could be an upper respiratory illness....In which case I would recomment some tylan.

I did not see any other sysmtom beaks looks dry. did not hear any breathig problem. Could this the first sign and others will follow?
