Hi all,
One of my girls (about three years old) woke up this morning with her eyes stuck shut. I had just given her and the rest of our girls a good health check yesterday afternoon and everything seemed normal. We had a little mite infestation due to the spring wild bird arrivals, but I treated them with sulfur powder and they are pretty much gone. (The girls are due for another dusting in about a week to kill any newly hatched mites.) I haven't dusted anywhere near her head, primarily just her booty since she is a brahma with some thick feathering back there. She isn't sneezing and I don't see any discharge. As soon as her eyes opened up she went straight to eating and prepping herself a nesting spot. Any ideas? Is it possible she did some major booty cleaning yesterday and got some sulfur powder in her eyes?
Thanks everyone!
