Eyes wont open

I have 2 newly hatched ducklings an ive been up all night both were coverd in sticky stuff an it dried like cement !! Now they are not opening there eyes or making any noise just laying there .. i have had them out to try an clean them but i cant seem to get it off there face ??

This happens sometimes. Usually when the humidity is off. I’d keep trying to get the 'sticky' stuff off with a moist paper towel.
