I have a few chicks their eyes are sticking together or closed i have to open them .what is the cause for this. they are barred rocks

treat your chickens eyes as you would treat your own... gently moisten them and flush with sterile saline eye wash...

LOTS of diseases affect the eyes of chickens. If I were you and these chicks aren't too small, I would medicate their water IMEDIATELY, Segregate the birds that could possibly be sick, and keep close eye(no pun intended) on their conditon. Terramycin is milder than Tylan. Both are antibiotic and can be bought @ TSC or most feed stores. Some diseases are spred through contact and the birds toughing each other will spread it.
