Seeing that he was breathing, he quietly uttered Jasper's status to the nearby Senka, who nodded and then flew into the air, roaring for help. The enormous Erebus soared through the sky, his mighty wings beating in a thunderous roar as he barreled down to Jasper, aiding Senka and Shadow to carry Jasper back to the cave, each dragon holding a limb.

Jasper opened his eyes wearily, blood still dripping from where his throat and stomach had been sliced open and his wings hung limp, torn, melted and burnt to near crisps.

Arwen weakly stood up from underneath her tree, buckling as she regained her balance. She slowly walked out into the sunshine, her eyes squinted as she stared up at the white cloud sky. Her mane of silky black hung over her shoulder limply, dogwood petals strung in here and there and in her tail as well. Her dark black coat gleamed with splashes of gold from the setting sun, her eyes lighting up and shining. Arwen slowly stretched out her very long, iridescent black wings, ruffling the perfectly placed feathers and shutting her eyes lightly with relief.
