F1 bantam mottled wyandotte chicks

Well I had 8 chicks hatch out from my bantam cochin x bantam wyandottes. They all have rose combs and all but one have feathered legs. Feathering on the legs only seems to run down one toe also. The leg color is nice yellow except for the one with no leg feathering which has dark shanks and will be culled most likely. Here are a few pics though they are not that great.

Just checked my bator and all eggs are fertile. 15 more mottled wyandotte project eggs 3 royal palm turkey eggs and 4 spangled oegb eggs. Fertility has been really good for me so far this year. I've got more of the mottled wyandotte project eggs due to hatch tomorrow as well as the last batch from my Ameraucanas before I sold them. Hope I have a good hatch!

That is great to hear !!!! And I'm glad they all turned out to be rose comb with feathered leggs like we were planning.

I've got chicks hatching now too, I had one that is somekind of unexpected cross, it's a silkie crossed with something I guess, It's kinda the color of SLW chicks, but it had dark skin and feathered leggs, and a single comb. I'm gonna guess it was from my BC Marans rooster that got one of the silkie hens one day when both breeds were out, he is the only one I've ever seen try to breed the silkie hens. But it's a big ol chick, at least the same size or maybe a bit bigger than the SS and other chicks that are hatching with it. I haven't had my time to look at it to tell though, had to keep the bator closed. Anyway, that was kinda random but I just thought I'd tell you since we are both hatching right now.

Thanks. I'm only getting 2 eggs a day still most days since one of the wyandottes wants to be broody, as soon as they start giving me eggs consistently you'll get some!!
