Face scratching

I have a 5 month old Buff Orpington & he has been continously scratching on the left side of his face. I am unable to see anything on him that could be causing this. This has been going on for about a week. Any help would be great!

I would look all over his skin for any signs of lice or mites, or their eggs. If you see any, permethrin garden dust or sevin dust is very good to use on chickens. Could there be any irritating bedding or something else he is allergic to? Here are some links of what to look for:
