Hi! I've never been to facebook, so what does 'like' mean?

Clicking "like" automatically puts a thing on your facebook telling everyone you know that you like said website an gives a link.

"Liking" something on Facebook is when you can either like someone's status update, picture, video, a quote, a song, an activity, or a link that someone posted by clicking a "Like" button that is usually available. So, for example, if I posted a cute picture my my chickens (which, yes, I do do that

), then any of my friends can click the "Like" button and it will send you a notification that says "_________ likes your photo".

It would be cool if we could link our facebook profile automatically like other websites do.

I am hardly here on BYC anymore though. Folks either seem to want to pick arguments, or I've run out of constructive (nice) things to say
