Peeps.. thanks! I can now safely calculate 450lbs (9bags) of feed for my Rangers! Just what I needed to know.
btw.. grass isn't itself a good substitute feed, it's lacking any real nutrition as far as I know.. so if your pasture was a bit more full you might be able to save on some of that feed next time.

I'm hoping mine do well on clover, grass, wild strawberries plus all the bugs they can eat

so I don't have to buy 9 bags of food.. but it's a good number to plan on..
