Fading comb's on young birds, stoped laying also. Any ideas?

I do know that all my girls' combs turned quite pale when they stopped laying during their molts this winter. It was like reading a barometer...as soon as their combs brightened back up to red or dark pink, the eggs came back. So even though your girls are younger than mine, and they may not look ragged, I'd bet on a molt, as others have suggested.

It probably was a molt, just the same i stoped by Publix and got them some yougart, different flavors (that really were good) and the birds loved them, also egg production has started back up, im not sure exactly what it was, just happy the girls are ok and back into production.

You can also use gamebird food to increase protien. I mix it half and half with Purena flock raiser and offer oyster shell free choice. I also put peanuts (for birds, no shells or salt) in the scratch. Peanuts are like 25% protien.
