Update:
I saw the hand specialist today. Surgery is scheduled for Monday to fix the tendon.
Apparently, I did cut it, and the white I saw really was bone. And that's why my thumb won't straighten up.
Then I get to do physical therapy .

Mom said, "You know, this may actually be the most expensive rooster ever? Just think if we actually had to pay for it!"

I told her I am so grateful to have a Mom who taught me "Shit happens!" so that I don't have to beat myself up over stupid mistakes.

Thank God for insurance!
