Failing in Introduction of new birds

Well its day number 2 of integration. All hens, silkies and chicks went in to sleep by themselves tonight. So far so good! Still some pecking going on, asserting authority etc.. But i've noticed in particular my new pullets are starting to get a bit more adventurous!!

We had ours living side by side for over 2 months seperated by chicken wire.

After growing tired of the younger rooster's 4:30 wake up calls I decided enough was enough and put them all together in the same run/coop.

We had 6 adults and 10 younger chicks. I went against all the advice I had read and just threw them in together one Saturday morning. Besides a couple small squables we haven't had any issues and they seem to be getting along just fine.
