Failing miserably at hatching eggs

You always just let them sit. Nature does its work fine! It's great to do, at least with a few eggs when you aren't used to hatching a certain kind of egg.

Do you all think it would help if we listed steps from the start of picking eggs to the end of incubating turkey eggs, would help? I don't know just throwing out ideas.

Yea, that's why I always put the disclaimer as far as
that is what I do
. Everyone's experience level is different and the more experienced turkey people pretty much know how to handle a lot of different situations from being more experienced than others. There are some things that I would NEVER advise a newbie to try because of the steps being too detailed and technical, so I offer the advice that would be least confusing and still allows the poster to follow the steps with no problems or confusion.

I do agree about nature doing it's work fine but there are times when we have to step in and the only person that can make that decision is the person who is actually caring for or dealing with the situation. There were times that I assisted a bird coming out of the shell and I was glad that I did because the baby would have died.

Every day is a learning experience for all of us.

I think that would be very helpful. I know I just posted a thread about turkey brooding but I am also having a hard time just getting them to the hatch without frying or freezing them! At first we had a power outage 3 times and they went down to about 85 degrees. But since then they have been up to around 104 sometimes. Last night my light went out and I found them at 84 degrees so it has been a bit discouraging.
