My Newman fought off a Mink and won. The mink got into the run. Two hens died, two hens survived and Newman was shook. I took him to the vet. It took him over a month to come right.

To lose him, nastily, to fox...he didn't die right away. The fox ripped his entire rear off.

Nature is cruel. With time we heal and move on!

So I am starting to get excited about starting over

I am okay with it. Everyone has to eat. and that is what nature has intended. I forgive the fox, she most likely was teaching her pups to hunt. five hens were taken as well. I just wish they would have left my Newman alone.

Now, I just need to out smart the fox!
