Failure To Thrive? tiny sick chick? Can he go with other chicks? PICS

I would put her in with the others because sometimes they do better if they have the others around them. I don't think she sounds contagious to me, just a runt. If she gets picked on or looks sick then seperate her. Let us know how she is gettting along.

Have you tried putting Rooster Booster in its water? I get that from the co op, and it makes my baby chicks thrive. I don't know on the contagious issue....He looks healthy other than having pasty butt..His eyes are still bright, which is good. Maybe he's just a runt? Nothing wrong with just being born little, right?

Okee dokee, I'm not SeaChick but I'm her daughter. And I am here to tell you that HOORAY! Charlotte (for that is her name) THRIVES and is catching up growthwise. She does have helicopter feathers on her back because of RSS but otherwise she's a-ok.

I would vote to put her in with the others if you haven't already. It's easier when they are young to introduce them. If you wait till she's older it will be harder. Also make sure you give her vitamin supplements daily. They will eat much better around others because it becomes a sort of feeding frenzy and they see the others eating. Feed them all scrambled egg and watch the fun plus it's really good for them.
