Go into lockdown 4 days before hatch day. I found the extra day without turning helps them have time to get in position.

I reckon I'll give this a go next with my Modern Game Bantams. I got heaps of malposition with them, but nearly all managed to hatch with help. Might even try another day earlier for half of them... See how it goes.

But it's a bit concerning how yours are all over the shop with their positions... There is not much consistency at all that I can see. And you say they died around day 18...
It's a lot to go like that by any means.

I know... I had all the different positions except the upside down one. I also had 1.5 star gazers this batch and FIVE in the last. It was a hatch of nightmares. I had to cull 3 of them. It was bad...

Could it be feed?
