I have a young polish hen. When she gets frightened she tends to sit down where she is or run for a bush. Yesterday a big crow came into the yard. This frightened my polish hen a lot. she was the last hen out. we scooped her up and I gave her a quick shot in her foot for the bumble foot I am treating her for. We were carrying her back to the coop to put her up for the night when she collapsed. Eyes closed, limp, unresponsive. I thought she had died. We brought her inside. She started to come around after a few minutes. She was dazed and confused. After several mminutes more she became more alert and like herself. we kept an eye on her the rest of the evening and she went back to normal. She is fine this morning. We are thinking that perhaps we scooped her up so quickly she thought the crow had her? and when she felt the pain from the shot she fainted? Is that possible? Is there something else I should be worried about? Anyone else have this happen or heard of it? Thanks for your help.
