Hello,
I have looked through what seems like dozens of sexing threads here on BYC and am STILL unsure as to the gender of both of my Bearded black silkies.....my daughters are doing fair for the first time this year so I want to be fairly certain when I mark the paperwork (due in two days..haha). Here are pics of both of them...I am leaning toward bird A is a cockerel and bird B is a pullet. They were both hatched around April I think.
Thank you for any and all educated guesses:)

Bird A

Bird B

Well, I am leaning towards bird A being a pullet, and bird B being a cockerel. However, I am not a Silkie expert. Hopefully, someone else will chime in and give some other answers.

thank you for your guess! Behavior is a bit different for both too (I should have mentioned this)....they spend very little time together. Bird A seems more dominant and more upright - Bird B WAY more docile and friendly and stays closer to the ground.
Any other takers?

A close-up photo of each of their heads would help. I don't have much Silkie experience, either, but I would almost think that both are pullets. I'm not seeing any redder, more developed wattles/combs, or any long streamers off the back of their heads. But B looks more cockerel-ish than A.
