yep agree with that.
Look for a tail curl, most domestic males have one, if you see that, it's 100% male, if not 50/50 shot at a hen, also hen quack loud, males have a raspy much quiter sound to them, that some times helps from a distance if you here them go QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK REAL LOUD DURING THE SELL, 100% HEN
Then there are obvious color differences on many breed like calls, mallards, and such.

I got a White Call drake at a swap last weekend for $5, which I thought was fair.
In the fall, there are usually a few people posting ducks on my local Craigslist for anywhere between $5 - $15 - but there never seems to be any breeds besides Mallards, Rouens, and Pekins.
